Anthony Mazzocchi On the Need for a Labor Party.

Union leader Anthony Mazzocchi. He has been President of OCAW (Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union) Local 8-149; Vice-President of the Nassau-Suffolk CIO Council; and he was active in the legislative struggles of the 1960's and 1970's, including a key role in the passage of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Mazzocchi's present position is Presidential Assistant of OCAW. His other works include establishing the Alice Hamilton College, a school without-walls dedicated to the educational needs of Union members and forming the Labor Party Advocates, a nationwide effort to organize a political alternative for working people.
